Why not use your home to live your retirement life.
Worked hard. Purchase your home or two, maybe a vacation property as well as raised your family. Tried your hardest and now you want to retire. Can you and how will that look? Living life in retirement.
For many years, the world has been telling you to save for your retirement. How did that work? Did you have the extra money? Did you have a workplace that helped you to set up your RRSP? Were you able to give more money at the end of the year or the beginning of the new year to put towards your RRSP to help reduce your tax? Were your investments with honest people and did you get ahead. Not everyone’s investments have gone as planned. I know of family members who lost investments.
If you were well organized and you were able to pinch your pennies at times and put aside the money for retirement how did that work? For some it wasn’t even an option with how life has gone and the demands for your time and money. Now is definitely NOT getting any easier with the Government’s ability to constantly overspend the money out of our pockets and the related tax increases on everything from gas, food and all types of daily use items.
Some may have been able to do something to save and put money in RRSP but is it enough? Can you live out your life not with an overabundance of luxuries but the occasional treat that gives us a perk at the end of the week? As a homeowner over the age of 55, there can be hope.
I understand, it was a lot of hard work making those payments and maintaining the house in times of struggle. Now, your home can help you to age in place for your retirement.
There are companies that will allow you to use up some of the equity of your home to live out your retirement life. You may have options that could allow you to pay out debt. Give some money to the ones that you love now, while you are alive to see them enjoy it and still be able to live in comfort. Do you need support for a family member with in- home care? There may be options that can help you and your family members now and in the future. Could accessibility renovations help you … to make living in your home easier as you age. These ideas could be possible to do, and a simple call to me, can easily give you the answer at no cost.
Thankfully you were able to put the work into owning your home!
Why not use your home to live your retirement life.
