As first time homebuyers we were equal parts excited and nervous to begin the process of applying for a mortgage. Angie is a levelled, result orientated, patience, and compassionate mortgage broker! In the past, we got our mortgages directly from the bank so we were skeptical about using a mortgage broker, but Angie came highly recommended by our agent (Thanks Shane & Bram!) and we are glad we decided to go with her. It took us a year to find this property! Throughout this time, we have made a few biddings, went all over the place on our budget, flipped-flopped on selling/renting our existing property, changed our mind on getting another property… and Angie was with us every step of the way, patiently! Angie took her time explaining options/scenarios and made sure we have all the facts and data to make our decisions. Best of all, she was extremely responsive and attended to us promptly (most of the time within minutes), even nights and weekends. When COVID happened, she kept us informed with the interest rate changes and explained to us the pros/cons on fixed vs. variable rates given that the interest rate was at all time low. She also got to the mortgage amount we need to maintain the existing house and purchase a new home.
